On June 25, 2015, everything changed. I was nearly nine months pregnant when my family was hit by a man running from police in a stolen car, crashing into us at over 100 miles per hour. The collision was so devastating. My husband was killed on impact, and I was declared deceased shortly after. Paramedics were able to resuscitate me with the only purpose to keep my son alive. We were immediately airlifted to a trauma hospital in Fort Worth and within the same hour that my husband lost his life, our son was delivered through an emergency C-section. He now shares his birthday with the death of his father.
Doctors knew that I wouldn't survive the night because my Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) was so severe, but would have a 50% chance of survival if I had emergency brain surgery. My dad told the doctor, do whatever you have to do to save my little girl. And just like that, I was off to have the most important surgery of my life.
When I finally woke up from my coma 16 days later, I didn’t recognize myself, my surroundings, or my reality. I couldn't move the left side of my face because it was partially paralyzed from the nerve damage and my head had been shaved all from the brain surgery. My body no longer looked or felt like mine. Where there used to be a giant belly with a baby growing, was now replaced with an empty belly with a long vertical incision that was stitched and stapled. My husband was gone. And in the place of everything I once knew was a brand-new baby boy who had just lost his father and nearly lost his mother too. I was 21 years old, recovering from major surgery and life-threatening injuries, grieving a loss I couldn't process, and suddenly responsible for raising a newborn completely on my own. It felt impossible. And yet somehow, I knew I had no choice but to rebuild; not just for me, but for him.
What followed was years of recovery; physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I knew I could either let the trauma break me, or I could find a way to rise from it. I made a promise to my son, my late husband, and to myself: I would not let our story end in tragedy. I would fight to heal and find purpose in the pain and the loss. I went back to school and earned my Bachelor's degree in Health and Wellness Management from the University of Wisconsin, graduating at the top of my class. Along the way, I became a Certified Nutrition Coach and Wellness Coach through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and a Certified Wellness Practitioner through the National Wellness Institute. I later became certified in Energy Medicine through Allegra Learning Solutions.
My education was never just about earning credentials. It was about understanding how the body heals, how trauma lives in our cells, how energy gets stuck in our system, and how true wellness means addressing more than just what we eat or how we move. I started connecting the dots between nervous system dysregulation, unresolved emotional pain, chronic fatigue, and all the ways we disconnect from our bodies after trauma. That’s when Cellular Reiki Therapy (CRT) came to life. I created CRT as a way to bring everything I had lived and learned into one powerful, personalized healing experience that’s unlike anything I could ever find during my own recovery. CRT combines reiki energy medicine, pulsed electromagnetic frequency (PEMF) therapy, vagus nerve stimulation (VNS), and holistic coaching designed to help women feel safe in their bodies again, regulate their nervous systems, and finally start healing at the root—physically, emotionally, and energetically.
Today, I lead MissFit, a modern approach to wellness created for women who are ready to step out of survival mode and into a life that feels strong, grounded, and fully alive. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience that brings healing directly to you by blending science-backed methods with holistic care to support real, lasting transformation from the inside out. I don’t just guide others through this process, I’ve lived it. I know what it feels like to be stuck in pain, to feel disconnected from your body, and to wonder if you’ll ever feel like yourself again. And I also know what it feels like to wake up one day and finally feel light again. Powerful. Clear. Whole. That’s what I want for every woman who crosses my path!
If you’ve been looking for a different kind of healing, one that honors everything you’ve been through and gives you the tools to step forward, this is your sign. I created CRT for women just like you.
Because this is more than wellness. It’s a new way forward.
